June 5-9 saw Nylacast employees participate in Leicestershire Cares week in aid of raising funds for the local charity which works with organisations to offer a kind, supportive hand to those less fortunate in the local communities of Leicester.
The week saw many member companies undertake various activities including sponsored silences and car washing to fund raise for the worthy cause.
Nylacast, avid members of Leicestershire Cares pledged a selection of its employees cover a sponsored 1,000 mile distance on treadmills and cycling machines. In support of the community the team beat this target covering just over 1,250 miles in total over the 5 days which raised £2,000 for the local community.
Management teams, engineers, apprentices and many more employees got together to endure the physical activity with a collective focus on the fundraising target.

Nylacast has strong heritage in Leicester, established in the city since 1967 and now home to the company’s global headquarters.
