For the second year running, Nylacast employees gathered their winter coats to donate to the Leicestershire Cares’ Coat Drive campaign 2014.
With the help of close friends Leicester Tigers who donated a number of items, Nylacast managed to donate over 100 items to the cause.
The drive is modelled on a New York Cares project which each winter collects 100,000 coats to give to the homeless and other people and families short of money. The Leicestershire Cares’ initiative enables those in and around the local Leicestershire area who are less fortunate, to keep warm as the winter season draws in.
On behalf of Leicestershire Cares we are delighted to announce that just under 1,700 winter coats were donated to the 2014 Coat Drive; beating last year’s total of 1,500 making the campaign a brilliant success. The coats have been collected by the 25 recipient groups and have already started to go out to their clients in time for the coming winter months.
Nylacast would like to thank all that donated to the Coat Drive and encourage other local companies to join Leicestershire Cares and get on board with their great local projects and campaigns.
