Written by effectadmin | 23 September 2019

Nylacast a keen investor in people and dedicated to developing future generations of engineers, recently facilitated a full year working placement for Chemical Engineering student Jaime Chauhan.

Currently studying BSC Chemical Engineering at the University of Bradford in Leeds, Jaime recently completed his placement year as an R&D Associate within the Research & Development centre at Nylacast World Headquarters in Leicester.

Starting his placement year back in August 2018, Jaime worked with Nylacast engineers and chemists across the company to carry out research projects, conduct experiments and develop new materials for industry need.

Reflecting on his placement at Nylacast, Jaime commented: “Working at Nylacast has been a massive privilege. I applied to this placement because it was a great chance to gain experience. It has been a great opportunity to meet new people and work alongside highly experienced colleagues. I have one more year left to complete my degree and I will take everything that I have learnt at Nylacast and use it as a stepping stone in my journey to becoming a chemical engineer.”

Following in Jaime’s footsteps is his younger brother Aaran, aged 20 and also studying BSC Chemical Engineering, he has recently started his placement year as a R&D associate at Nylacast.

Nylacast continue to build relationships with local, national and international educational institutes to actively support students to progress and build careers in the fields of engineering, manufacturing and technology.
