Always keen to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists, Nylacast spent National Apprenticeship Week 2019 participating in a number of events and activities to drive engagement and spark interest in engineering careers.
The week began by welcoming over 100 students from local schools to Nylacast World Headquarters in Leicester, UK. They were all given comprehensive tours of the facility by team members across the business. This allowed them to gain insight into the many career opportunities available in manufacturing and engineering. The 100 students from Beaumont Leys School had an overview of working in many departments and areas from engineering and production, through to sales, marketing, finance and R&D.
Members of the Nylacast team, including current engineering apprentices also spent the week going into local schools and colleges in Leicestershire, sharing their experiences and journeys from students to engineers and the many pathways to engineering careers.
