From Learning to Leading: The Impact of Apprenticeships in 2025 and beyond
We recently celebrated National Apprenticeship Week 2025, a week dedicated to sparking new opportunities and recognising the achievements of apprentices and employers alike. It was truly inspiring to see the hard work, dedication, and success of our apprentices and teams.
One of the highlights of the week was our participation in the Leicester College Apprenticeship Fair. Our apprentices proudly shared their experiences of the Nylacast Engineering Apprenticeship with students, offering valuable insights into their journeys. We were also thrilled to have the ITV News Team join us, helping to showcase the impact of apprenticeships on young careers and industry growth.
We were also incredibly proud to have been awarded Large Apprenticeship Employer of the Year at the Leicester College Apprenticeship Awards, held on Thursday, 6 February. This recognition reflects our commitment to nurturing talent, providing hands-on experience, and supporting the career development of our apprentices. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to making our apprenticeship program such a success!
To round off the week, we held our very own Apprentice Celebration Ceremony on Friday, 14 February. It was an honour to welcome Leicester College to this special event, where we celebrated the dedication and achievements of our apprentices and team members. A major highlight was the moment our apprentice graduates received their toolboxes, symbolising the skills and knowledge they have gained throughout their apprenticeships.
We also took this opportunity to recognise outstanding individuals for their contributions. We are proud to announce that our Apprentice of the Year 2024 is Jack Wilson, and the Apprentice Champion of the Year 2025 is Lewis Noble. Their hard work, commitment, and passion for learning truly embody the spirit of apprenticeships, and we couldn't be more delighted to celebrate their success.
