Wind Energy Asia is known as the largest international wind energy event which is held in Taiwan. Kaohsiung, in South Taiwan, is home to numerous industrial clusters. All of which are fundamental to achieving the objective of generating 20% of Taiwan’s energy from renewables by 2025 (EIC,2023).
Andrew Dearden, Nylacast Engineered Products Sales Director for the Renewables industry, shared “We were proud to be part of the EIC UK Pavilion and to join 7 other companies in promoting innovative solutions and services to the Taiwanese Offshore Wind Markets. This exhibition highlighted the importance of having a level of presence in the APAC region, and we look forward to working closely with organisations in this area.”
From 28th February – 1st March 2023, Andrew Dearden, travelled to Japan to participate in Wind Energy Japan 2023 exhibition located at Tokyo Big Sight. We collaborated with EIC, who supported us in delivering a presentation to showcase, how we can add value to the industry with our products and services.
Furthermore, Andrew was invited to the British Embassy to meet with Japanese Businesses, to learn more about the local government’s plans to support the industry.
“What a great and busy exhibition. It is nice to see the world truly opening up following the pandemic. Getting back to face-to-face meetings, really allows us to spend time exploring requirements, upcoming projects, and developing relationships further. I was delighted to be able to visit the embassy and represent Nylacast in a truly prestigious environment. In addition, the show enabled local developers in the region to understand some of the success from the European market to achieve set goals.”
