Nylacast return from Plantworx 2017

Following the growing demand for value adding engineering polymers within the construction, agriculture, quarrying and mining industries, Nylacast recently exhibited at 2017 edition of construction equipment event Plantworx.

Based in Bruntinghthorpe just a stones throw away from Nylacast’s global headquarters in Leicester, the event took place between the 6th and 8th of June attracting thousands of visitors who were able to meet with industry peers, view the latest products and technology as well as seeing live product demonstrations.

Nylacast’s engineered products have become increasingly attractive to the sector as they increase performance, efficiency and safety. The benefits include less maintenance and lower whole life costs. Polymers weigh less, suffer from less corrosion, are self-lubricating and can deliver better performance than steel, aluminium or bronze.

The company, which has global locations, showcased its ability to develop bespoke engineered materials and component manufacturing capabilities for construction industry equipment with examples of a range of tailored components that have been developed for use in applications across the industry from wear pads, hose and cable handling rollers to bushes and bearings.

A keen investor in people and the future, Nylacast were sponsors of the student trail and primary engineer initiative which aims to highlight engineering in schools and children through STEM subjects. Schools within the local Leicestershire area attended the event with their students who were provided Nylacast hi-vis jackets and shown around the exhibits, equipment and demonstrations at the show.
