Members of the team at Nylacast World Headquarters recently contributed over 20 packs of items to local charities set up to support homeless members of the local community.
The annual Collect 4 Christmas appeal run by Leicestershire Cares, asks participating companies to donate practical items to a chosen organisation with the aim of making a real impact in specific areas of need within the local community.
Fundraising for the local cause, the physical and monetary donations collected by employees at Nylacast included hundreds of essential items for the winter period ranging from duvets, pillows, toiletries and kitchen items to children’s toys. These were then organised into a number of packs for local charities ready to distribute directly to the end users.
Group HR & Training Manager, Ian Mallabone commented, “Keen to develop our local communities, Nylacast regularly support The Collect 4 Christmas appeal by Leicestershire Cares, it works as a great platform to get much needed aid swiftly and directly to members of the community. The generosity of the Nylacast employees is overwhelming, having collected over 20 packs which will help a number of families and individuals across the county.”
Every pack raised will make a valuable contribution to helping those who are settling in to new homes, in providing for their basic needs and make for a more comfortable winter. In cooperation with The Bridge, One Roof Leicester, Border House, Zinthiya, Help the Homeless and City of Sanctuary, Leicestershire Cares will ensure the donations are received by vulnerable families and individuals in need, throughout the local area.
